Today when we came out of the Forbidden City there were beggars on the street. The first man was totally missing his left arm and his legs. It was in the low to mid 40's and he was sitting there without a shirt on. The second was a younger boy. He had such a hump in the middle of his back that he couldn't even sit up straight. He was also shirtless. The third man was very elderly. His feet were so twisted and deformed that I'm sure he probably wasn't able to walk and had to crawl. He had no shoes on and was just sitting there like he was in a stupor. It was SO VERY SAD.
