WE ARE IN GUANGZHOU!!!

This morning was our time to say goodbye to our time in Zhengzhou. We really have had a good week there. Two weeks ago they were having snow storms, but it has been in the low to mid 50's every day since we arrived. The temperature seemed to have dropped a little last night, but it was still great weather for December.

 Our guide, Tiina.

Our travel group.

We made pictures with our guide, Tina, and then we made a group picture of the our four families who have been together in Zhengzhou. We will be meeting up with five other families in Guangzhou who have adopted children from different provinces than Henan.

We got to the airport around 9:30 and was on our plane by 11:00. We had a great flight. We were greeted at the airport by Jason and Paul, who will be our guides in Guangzhou. Jason was our guide when we adopted Callie Beth, and he was also one of our guides when we adopted Eiley Joy. We were also greeted by a 75 degree temperature!!!! The weather here this week is supposed to be GORGEOUS!!!! Bring on those crop pants and flip flops!!!!

 Our guide, Jason.

We are settled in our room with three little girls sound asleep. We had a great meal earlier at the Macau, which is a Portuguese restaurant right around the corner from our hotel, with our good friends, Ed and Kylie Nason and their sweet Zoey and Niko. It seems like we have been friends FOREVER......just another perk that comes along with adoption.

Ansley Grace is doing AWESOME beyond words!!!! She has just blended perfectly into our family, and considering she doesn't understand what we are saying, and the language barrier is REAL, she is happy as she can be. I never dreamed her transition would be so smooth. She truly rolls with the flow. She loves our other girls and they love her. I'm beginning to think there is a streak of mischief in her.....probably a gift that Eiley Joy asked God to bestow on her. :) I do believe she is the giggliest little girl I have ever seen, and that is good!!! We love her so much, and it seems like she has been ours forever.

We have some touring we are going to do in the morning, and then we will have the rest of the day free. I hope to be able to do a little shopping here and just enjoy the glorious temperatures!!!! Right now, I am just ready to try to get a good night's sleep. Please continue to pray for us. Our emotions are running high. This time last year was bad times. We are SO thankful that God is blessing us with such a special event a year later, but it's hard to keep our thoughts from the pain and anguish we felt a year ago, especially on her funeral day. We are trying our best to make something good out of these days, but our hearts still hurt.
